Please notice the new hourly rate - I have been over-sparkling for each appointment excessively, and have realized that my time is the best indicator of my service, rather than dismissing how many "freebies" I'm gifting, which can sometimes be as much as double, as I often get carried away by my own glee over the prettiness of them! ✨✨✨

This new rate is my second rate change ever, and the first in five years. It will help so much with catching up in terms of all the costs that have gone up, and for continuing to support the cozy, beautiful space I am so fortunate to be able to rent at the heavenly Overlook House.

My foot is healing nicely but I might be a little slow on the stairs this month, thanks so much for your patience as we step gently into this new year together. Let's hope it's a sparkly one!  🎉✨🎆

Hi sparkly ones, so sorry for the delay on appts this month. I am in the midst of preparing my mother's Memorial ceremony and it is a very heavy emotional burden for me to bear. I am a bit overwhelmed.

Only two days open this round, June 9th and 10th. The following week is Faerieworlds, I will be in Eugene over that weekend, and back to sparkling after June 20th. Those appts will open June 15th or so.

It's been a strange April in Portland, the unseasonal snow was hard on our plants, but also beautiful (I had to go play in it a bit - bonus second winter! ❄️). May the flowers all recover and flourish as we move into a sparkly spring.  🌷🧚 ✨

I get a ton of messages so don't feel bad about re-sending if I don't reply after a day or two, I often lose track, but I don't mean to ignore anyone! These appts usually fill in 24-48 hours, so if you're not finding something after April 3rd or 4th, best to wait until April 15th or 16th when more appointments are opened. The link works to check for cancellations, too :)

🌸 New! Currently masks are not required, and I am dropping the vaccine requirement for April. I have worn my mask for most of my appointments, still, out of respect for my more cautious customers. (I am vaxed and boosted and still haven't gotten covid or .)

My shoulder is on the mend but still not 100%, so my time is currently limited to 4 appts per day, it gets cranky after that. Hopefully I can add more time in the next week or two, I definitely feel better than I did two weeks ago :)

Masks are no longer required at the Overlook House, but you are welcome to wear one if you wish. I have been slowly relaxing my own mask wearing in public, and may remove mine during work at some point this month, I haven't decided yet. 🦄

I may drop the vaccine requirement for faery hair sparkles in April, if all goes well for our hospitalization numbers here in Oregon. (Previous infection is also fine in lieu of vaccine, for sparkles at this time.) This is also undecided. So much is still unknown! Just taking it one day at a time. 🧚

I'm feeling not quite myself, so appts are a bit limited for the next two weeks, but if I'm feeling better and able to mitigate my pain and catch up with other work, I will add in another weekday. For appts I always post here first at www.faeryhair.com and then to my email list (email me at serafaery@yahoo.com if you would like to be added), then to social media (facebook/insta/google), and then finally, I reply to the many texts and emails I get from those who aren't able to navigate the website or need the booking link directly texted to them, or need help in other ways.

The faeries have explained carefully that the first half of February is for them. I have very tricky taxes to complete, and the faeries are demanding my attention in quiet, creative ways.  Dear sparkly ones: because I have loved ones who are medically fragile, and don't want to put them at risk, going forward for at least the next month, I need to require all of my Faery Hair customers over age 16 to be fully vaccinated AND boosted. I will be checking your cards. If you are scheduled for an appt this week, and not boosted, I can reschedule you for a month out if you like, when we can reassess the situation.
