Winter Holidays and Fairy Hair Sparkles 2020 🍂 ✨❄️

*** Mobile users tap here to open the full page ;)

Faery Hair Sparkles friends! I am searching for a safe place to offer Faery Hair Magic this holiday season. Since it's been shown that no virus has been spread from hair services, as long as all protocols are followed, I feel confident that I can return to this work, safely and responsibly. My space will need to be private and all appts will have to be one on one (no more groups, no drop-ins, masks required, pre-screening required, etc.), but with some careful adjustments, we can sparkle together again and bring some lightness and fun into these challenging days.

Thank you so much for your patience as we navigate these difficulties together, I appreciate the support more than I can say!

I will post updates as soon as space is secured and I can begin taking appointments.  Stay safe and take care of each other!

Sparkling tutorials are available on my youtube channel, and starter kits and sparkle packs are available at my online shop, faeryhairsparkles.com

Here is a short video of our old days at the Fernie Brae, just for fun.  Happy Sparkling! ✨  -Sera

Sparkling in dark places; Fairy Hair Sparkles in Portland in September ✨🍄🧚

*** Mobile users tap here to open the full page ;)

Dearest sparkling ones, I miss sparkling with you so, so much. This month especially I so wish I could be with you, sharing little joys along with sparkles.  During difficult times, spending time sparkling with you is such a source of comfort. Your uplifting presence has carried me through so many dark moments. I cannot thank you enough for your company and kindness, and I cannot wait to see you and sparkle you again.

Once things have settled down in our beloved and hurting city of Portland, I plan to make strides toward finding a way to sparkle together safely, comfortably, and joyfully. I know this can be done. It will take a great deal of effort, but it is more than worth it to be able to share this practice with you.

In the meantime, I do have videos on youtube to learn from, if you'd like to sparkle others in your bubble, or even yourself, if your fingers and eyes will allow for the level of difficulty involved in self-sparkling. My youtube channel is www.youtube.com/c/serafaery

Faery Hair starter kits, tools, and more can be found at faeryhairsparkles.com ✨

Happy Sparkling!

How to Faery Hair Sparkle yourself! ✨🍄🌸 Fairy hair self sparkling tutorial

*** Mobile users tap here to open the full page ;)
Sparkle friends! I have not yet been comfortable enough for any in-person sparkling, so I thought I would share this self-sparkling video I made for you. ✨🍄🌸

This works with genuine Faery Hair Sparkles (if you want to use the cheaper stuff you can always sparkle yourself that way, but not with this knot. I recommend using a crimping bead if using synthetic sparkles, it's much easier but cannot be brushed). I have starter kits and sparkle packs available at faeryhairsparkles.com ✨

Happy Sparkling!

Fairy Hair Sparkles, staying safe and healthy ✨😷💖🍄🌸

*** Mobile users tap here to open the full page ;)
Sparkly ones! After much lengthy, deep consideration, it feels best to let everyone know that sparkling will be on hold at least through July. I desperately miss sparkling and the joy of catching up with my sparkly people SO MUCH, and would love nothing more than to be sparkling again fully. But not at the risk of my or anyone else’s health or well-being. While there are ways to mitigate the risks, they are complicated and costly, and there are still so many unknowns. We will sparkle again! But I feel so much better waiting until it’s safer for everyone.

On a brighter note, the Fernie Brae may be able to host us again! Although the space is in flux and nothing is for certain, we may be able to use the space for sparkling, and also some shopping, art, inspiration, and magic, hopefully, when the time is right.

I’m endlessly grateful for everyone’s patience and understanding as we tread these new waters together. I know we need our sparkles now more than ever. They will return, rest assured. Let us all stay safe and healthy until we are able to sparkle again, safely and unfettered. ✨🍄🌸

Faery Hair Sparkles going forward ✨🍄🌸

*** Mobile users tap here to open the full page ;)
Dear sparkly friends,

I miss your faces and sparkly presence sooooooo much! I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy and finding your way through this trying time. I am so grateful for your support and patience as we learn to navigate this new situation together.

As desperate as I am to get back to sparkling and to interact with all of the people who support and uplift me every day, my nature is to be cautious. For now, faery hair is postponed until further notice. When I am ready to book appointments again, I will eagerly let everyone know. But for now, even if salons are allowed to function, I will not be sparkling right away. There are several reasons for this.

1) The Fernie Brae has closed. It is possible that this space may be available at some time in the future, but I need to give the owners time to process and decide how to move forward.

2) With the state's Phase 1 requirements for "personal services," I cannot legally operate in private residences or cafes, nor can I afford to rent my own private office.

3) The personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning supplies, and labor involved in cleaning, laundering, customer screening and tracking, and lower frequency of appointments required, would more than double my costs. Once those restrictions are lifted, I can explore how to move forward in a way that is safe and enjoyable for all.

4) Because I am a sole proprietor, my self and my business are not separated. Currently, there is no insurance that covers Covid-19 exposure claims. If someone wants to claim that I caused illness due to sparkling, I have no protection. It is not worth it to put myself or another's health at risk, and to risk personal bankruptcy, in order to resume faery hair sparkling.

Once our world begins to look a little better, restrictions lift, and people begin to move about more freely, I could see sparkling again with more joy than ever before. I do sincerely hope we can get there soon! But I don't want to start prematurely and have any of us regret that decision.

I will need you when the time is right! I am eager to offer sparkles again, and to find new ways to bring joy and faery magic into the world in the meantime.  I am not going anywhere, sparkling will always be a lifelong pursuit of mine.  I'm hoping that in reentering with caution, sparkling can remain viable as a business and practice far, far into the future. I appreciate your patience so much as I attempt this "long game" approach.

I am open to suggestions, comments, ideas, whatever you care to share - this is how I feel right now, but my feelings could change in a week or a month or a year, who knows!  I will keep everyone updated to the best of my ability.

So much love and sparklyness to all of you!  You mean the world to me. I cannot convey how much this venture has changed my life and allowed me to flourish, thanks to all of your sparkling hearts and bright spirits.  Your support is a gift too great to fathom, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude every day, for everything you have brought me over the years.

Sending you well wishes and faery magic, until we meet again.

Love,

Serafaery ✨🍄🌸

Faery Hair sparkling, new tutorial video for how to tie sparkles 💖

(Mobile users tap here to open the full page ;)

Hi sparkly friends! I miss you all so very much. My customers are my best support and most uplifting part of my life, it's really hard for me to not have our interactions and visits. I miss your kindness and sparkly attitude, and can't wait to reconnect when it is safe and healthy for us to sparkle again.

So many customers who've tried their hand at sparkling for themselves have asked for help getting the knot closer to the root. I have more ways to help, but for now, here is my first attempt.

Please forgive the poor sound and lighting, I am working with what I have available, when I can. My apartment has much more light but has become my husband's home office. So this was shot in my brother's diningroom. The video quality is not great, and the stress is showing on my face a little bit, so I hesitated to post it, but I want to offer you something of value, if you are working on learning how to sparkle and want to get that knot a little closer in - this is a great time to practice!

If you're interested in learning how to sparkle, starter kits are available at faeryhairsparkles.com 💖

Personally and professionally I've suffered some severe blows this week, personally and professionally, just feeling hurt and stepped on and afraid. But I still feel so fortunate to have safety, shelter, food, friends, and health, during this time. These blessings are not taken for granted. This includes all of the support and kindness and well wishes I feel radiating around me from customers and friends. So grateful. Thank you. Best wishes for health and happiness, and good things to come.

Please find me on social media if you haven't already, my personal facebook is http://www.facebook.com/serafaery and my Faery Hair page is http://www.facebook.com/FaeryHair/ - I will keep in touch on both pages as things develop!

Fairy Hair Sparkles in Portland with Sera Faery on hold for now ✨

(Mobile users tap here to open the full page ;)

Hi sparkly friends! I hope you are all well and weathering this storm as smoothly as possible.

We are postponing all Faery Hair Sparkles appointments until June, and will reassess at that time. If you already had an appointment scheduled, your place is held for June, hopefully you received an email about it :)

I will post updates here as things unfold.

I appreciate the offers for private events in homes, but as a consideration for the health of my higher-risk customers and friends, I would rather not risk even small or one on one appointments at this time. The more people I am exposed to, the more dangerous for others who interact with me.

I will miss all of you so much! I adore what I do and look forward to seeing you all every day. A life without sparkling will be a tough adjustment. Please feel free to find me on social media if you haven't already, my personal facebook is http://www.facebook.com/serafaery and my Faery Hair page is http://www.facebook.com/FaeryHair/ - I will keep in touch on both pages as things develop!

Thank you SO MUCH for all of your support, it means so much to me. Stay well, breathe easy, sending you all the sparkly love, for now.  💖

New Faery Hair tutorial video!

Thank you so much for your patience and support! I have had a bumpy last few weeks and appreciate your patience with scheduling appointments, I know it's difficult! Email might be the best way to reach me with questions, since text messages often get buried quickly with all the others - email I can search and highlight to remember to follow up.

Lessons! I will try this out this month, there is a big demand for this so I hope to make it a regular monthly offering. If you've emailed me in the past about a lesson, and are still interested, please do so again, so that we can coordinate! Thank you for supporting the work that I do, it means everything that you are here for me, allowing me to sparkle for you <3 <3 <3
