I have a special event on Saturday, Nov 25th after Thanksgiving called ✨Geek the Halls, it's at the Lloyd Center Doubletree Hotel event hall, 1000 NE Multnomah Blvd in Portland, OR. 

✨🧚🎄 I am scheduling faery hair appointments for this manually, so please email me at serafaery@yahoo.com if you'd like to sparkle there! It is a kitchy, adorable, and free craft fair. I have slots available at 11am, 12pm, 2pm, and 3pm. Please email how many sparkles you would like (15 minutes for 10+ sparkles, 30 min for 20+, 45 min for 30+, or an hour for 40+), and I will confirm your slot with you and give you all the details for Saturday Nov 25th. It's my favorite holiday shopping event of the year, and a great chance to support local small businesses and creative artists. ✨🧚🎄

If no dates are available, check back for cancellations, or again at the start of the next month. Appts open as close to the 1st and 15th of each month as possible, for 2-3 weeks - booking further out risks conflicts with the Overlook House  that cause last minute cancellations, which I would like to spare you. So I am returning to my former practice of only opening 2-3 weeks at a time. Thank you so much for your patience, it is a drawback of working in the charming Overlook House, but I think it is worth it, to have such a lovely, peaceful space for sparkling (when it is available!) 🏡

Appointments open the 1st or 2nd and 15th or 16th of each month, for 2 weeks at a time. They fill in about 24 hours, so if you're not successful, try booking closer to the opening dates if you can - if you would like email reminders, send me a note at serafaery@yahoo.com (you can ask to be removed any time). Also email me with any other questions, I often get overwhelmed but will help as best I can, keep trying, it's helpful as I often lose track of who asked what where :)

Dealing with a power outage and a runny nose today - it's always something! No sparkles this week  (not covid, just a cold). Thanks for hanging in there with me. 🍂

In January 2023, I will shift to a higher hourly rate, with a range of sparkles offered for each appt from 15min to 1hr. As always, I offer several free strands, since there is always some fall-out. I will put this in the description for appt bookings so everyone knows what to expect, and will communicate this as much as possible beforehand. 💖

This is my first rate change in 5 years, as much as I'd rather not, so many expenses have gone up since pandemic, including supplies and the sparkle studio, which I am so grateful to have! To try to get back to pre-pandemic levels, this needs to happen. 🙏

(Maybe it will be easier to book when my rates are higher? Silver linings?) ✨

Faery Hair Sparkles with Sera Faery in Portland, OR, personal note

 Hi sparkly ones, thank you so much for your patience.  Sparkling appointments are on hold this week, while upgrading to N95 masks in response to the new more transmissible covid strains, and recalibrating my system for covid protection requirements, to make sure we all stay healthy and safe while sparkling together. The online shop is always open for online purchases, of course.

I will update here soon with a booking link for appointments. You are always welcome and encouraged to email me at serafaery@yahoo.com for any questions. I do get a lot of emails so please forgive me if you have to send a note more than once, sometimes they get lost before I get a chance to compose a reply. I want to reply to everyone and never intend to ignore any messages. I typically manage to reply in about 2 days. <3

I miss sparkling and all of my customers so much. We'll get there. I appreciate your patience and hanging in there with me while we navigate this new system, together. Any feedback is always welcome. 

I am still deep in grief, I must admit, from losing my mother. This will just take some time. Her obituary should be finalized and published on Wednesday this week. That was a very, very difficult task. I still have a lot to do to make sure I honor her in ways I feel are appropriate, but without sacrificing my own well-being too much. It is a delicate balance. I appreciate everyone's kindness and support, the cards and messages and notes of well wishes and love are wonderful. I started a little tribute website for my mom, if there is any interest in that, it is at mollyrodway.blogspot.com  <3
