Dear sparklers, it is with a heavy heart that I need to cancel my Faery Hair Sparkles appointments this week (Dec 20-27). The current studies show that the J&J shot I received elicits no anti-body response to the omicron variant, which is now dominant in the US. Even those fully vaxxed without a booster are *at best* 30% protected. People are behaving as if nothing is happening, still gathering and dining indoors together in large numbers, and wearing only cloth masks which are no longer sufficient (I am guilty of this.). It is not safe to expose myself at work until my booster takes effect, which will not be until after the holiday. I'm so sorry for the disappointment, but our health and well-being need to come first. The sparkles will still be here, once I'm boosted!
